Winter Challenge information and rules:
Registration for all events will take place at the Keyhole Golf Course under the big tent. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be available. Click Here for location map
Purchase of a $50.00 event ticket includes a chance to win the 4-wheeler & entry into any of the above events.
No refunds on tickets sold.
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd, in each Event will be determined by total number of tickets sold.
All Wyoming angling, snowmobiling and ATV rules must be obeyed. Citation will result in disqualification.
Failure to comply with any contest rules or unethical behavior is grounds for disqualification
Contestants are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property at all times.
The Ice Fishing Derby will not be canceled or postponed for any reason except unsafe ice conditions.
Ice fishing Derby
Ice fishing hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; both days of the tournament.
All contestants in the Ice Fishing Derby must possess a valid Wyoming fishing license and observe all Wyoming Game & Fish Regulations as well as Wyoming Parks & Historic Site Rules & Regulations.
Fishing license numbers will be required on the registration forms. Licenses may be purchased at Paradise Foods or the Empire Guesthouse.
Contestants not possessing a valid Wyoming Fishing License or a event ticket will be able to purchase them at the Empire Guesthouse & General Store. Opens at 6 a.m. both days
Artificial and live bait will be allowed as it complies with the Wyoming Game & Fish Regulations on their website at http://gf.state.wy.us/downloads/pdf/fishregs.pdf/ or you can request a printed copy by mail or by calling 1-307-777-4600 or mail your request to: Wyoming Game and Fish, 5400 Bishop Blvd,, Cheyenne, WY 82006.
Minnows will be available at Empire Guesthouse and "R" Place in Pine Haven.
Fish may be weighed in throughout the day at one of the two weigh in stations and fish must not be frozen at time of weigh in.
In case of a tie, the time of the first fish weighed in is the winner for that day.
Contestants need to be at the weigh-in stations by 3:30 pm each day.
There will be prizes daily determined by heaviest weight and time registered. In the event of a tie the first fish registered takes priority. Prizes will be awarded by the different species of local fish including heaviest walleye, heaviest northern Pike and heaviest stringer, up to 12, of any combination of crappie, yellow perch, and/or small mouth bass.
Cash prize on Sunday will be for the two day overall heaviest walleye, heaviest northern pike, and combined two day total of up to 24 fish in any combination of crappie, yellow perch, and/or small mouth bass.
4-Wheeler Races
We will have different classes and a side by side class. The course will have left and right hand turns and with straight aways. which will be a fun course.

It is important to stress that there will be no spikes, chains, etc. for extra traction. Rubber tires only.
This will make for strategic, fun racing.

The classes are as follows and will be due to change if we can not fill the classes.
ATV Classes
Mini class up to 90 cc and 12 years of age
91cc- 400cc
401cc-550cc
551-Open class
Sport Quad Class ( 2 wheel drive atv's)
Side by Side Classes
Sport Class
Utility Class
Sign up from 8am to 9:30am Practice starts at 10 am Heat races start as soon as practice is over. (Try to start by 11 am) Main event will start when heat racing is over. (Try to start by 12:30 pm)
Cross Country Skiing
Cross country ski equipment will be available to use. (Bring extra socks in case the boots are to big)
Saturday, February 19
Timed competition starts 9:00 am ends 3:00 pm. The course will be 1 mile. Cash prizes will be paid through third place for best times in women's and men's 16 to 30 ages and 31 and over ages. Total cash prizes awarded will be $1,000.00.
Sunday, February 20
Leisure skiing begins 10:00 am ends 3:00 pm. No cash prizes will be paid this day.
Purchase of a $50.00 raffle ticket and registration will be required for participants on both days.
Children 15 and under do not have to purchase a raffle ticket or register. They will not be included in the cash prizes for Saturday.
Disc Golf Competition

Play will be a doubles format called “Team Scramble”.
In "team scramble", each team consists of two players. If one of the two team members competed in at least one of the other competitive events (like Ice fishing, 4 wheeler races, or cross country skiing) the team will receive a 1 Mulligan advantage. If both team members competed in the other events the team will receive a 3 Mulligan advantage.
(Mulligan: a shot that, a golfer allows an opponent to take again)

All players must register as a team.
Registration will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday February 19th

Players meeting at 10:30. This meeting will cover rules of play and the course. We will use general PDGA rules. Specific variations will be discussed at the players meeting.

Play starts with both of the two team members.
T-off by throwing a disc, then they choose the best lie for the next throw, each player throwing a disc again from the position of the best lie. This proceeds till one of the teams members holes out. The team must use one throw from each team member on every hole unless an ace is achieved.

Play will include 2 rounds of nine holes each.
First Round starts at 11:00 AM . Players will play the forward nine targets.

Break for Lunch 12:30

Second Round starts at 1:00. Players will play the backward nine targets.

Division A. Both team members are males over age 18. Payout for division a will be 60% of the total disc golf prize money. The top half of the field will receive payout.

Division B. One or both of the teams members are under age 18 or are female. Payout for division B will be 40% of the total disc golf prize money. The top half of the field will receive a payout.

Rule #1: Have fun in the snow.
