Perhaps the outdoors is not so different from your home. The sky is an endless ceiling, and trees offer a wooden and leafy wall of privacy. Think of grass and moss as nature's carpet. Streams and creeks provide running water. The point is that nature can offer some of the same comforts as a house, as well as an invigorating experience that comes with coexisting with the out of doors. And with some of the new camping products on the market, camping can get downright cozy. Remember to put together a camping check list to make planning your trip to the campground easier.
Keyhole State Park twenty-one miles Southwest of Devils Tower National Monument, is located on the western edge of the famed Black Hills, between Sundance and Moorcroft Wyoming and offers many attractions with 10 Campgrounds that are all overlooking the lake with a total of 259 camp sites and is easily accessed off I-90 at exit 165 which is south six miles from Marina Road (aka Headquarters Road) adjacent to the parks southeast shore or take exits 153 or 154 in Moorcroft then in the center of town take U.S. Highway 14 north five miles towards Devils Tower, then right on State Highway 113 five miles to Pine Haven Road then turn left one mile to the center of Pine Haven which is between Wind Creek Bay and Mule Creek Bay with access to the Wind Creek and Coulter Bay Camp Grounds and Boat Ramps.
Keyhole Reservoir offers excellent fishing for walleye, catfish, small mouth bass and northern pike. Keyhole is also a mecca for both resident and migrating birds of all species. Visitors have the opportunity to view many type of wildlife including mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn antelope and wild turkeys. There is a marina and motel located on the headquarters side of the lake and operated by a concessionaire. The concessionaire has pop, alcohol, groceries, bait, tackle, fishing licenses and 10 electric campsites that he reserves. There is a public boat ramp at the marina.

Some Important Park Rules
- No glass containers are allowed in the park.
- Motorized vehicles shall be operated only on roads, trails or areas designated for such use.
- All visitors must abide by posted speed limits.
- Camping is permitted for a maximum of 14 consecutive days at one park at one campground.
- Quiet shall be maintained in all areas of the park between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- All trash must be deposited in containers designated for that purpose; however, we would appreciate that you pack out your own trash.
- Fires are permitted (except during extreme fire danger) only in fireplaces or grills as provided and must be completely extinguished before leaving.
- Fishing and boating are permitted subject to regulations prescribed by the Wyoming Game & Fish Department.
- All pets must be kept on a leash.
- Hunting is allowed only during official seasons and in certain areas.
- Fireworks are prohibited except special displays which must be approved.
